Intermediate Cloud System Administrator

Job Description


Reporting to the Director of Cloud Solutions & Managed Services, the Cloud System Administrator will have the primary mandate of managing colocated, private, shared or public cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.) More specifically, he must ensure the implementation, validation, deployment, monitoring, reporting, security and proactive lifecycle management of environments including the complete resolution of the issues associated with products offered by ESI Technologies.

It is expected that this role will evolve over time to incorporate additional responsibilities and opportunities as our cloud infrastructure grows.


Main Responsibilities


  • Work with support teams, engineers and architects to set up and maintain the cloud infrastructure;
  • Act as a leader in technological innovation and infrastructure efficiency through the automation and orchestration of solutions;
  • Contribution to problem solving through recommendations, implementation of control and automation tools to prevent recurrence of problems;
  • Contribute to the strategic planning of our cloud solutions;
  • Manage infrastructure security and regulatory compliance according to different industry standards;
  • Manage and control automated monitoring and reporting related to performance, health and costs of cloud infrastructure;
  • Manage the monitoring, updating, optimization, redundancy and stability of the cloud system;
  • Participate in the rotation of the 24/7 support service;
  • Support cloud environments and data centers hosted in private, shared or public mode;
  • Contribute to process improvement while maintaining up-to-date and adequate documentation.


Required Profile


  • Bachelor in Computer Science (or equivalent);
  • 5 to 8 years of technical IT experience (operating systems, network operations and monitoring) in a medium or large company;
  • Knowledge of Amazon AWS and Microsoft Azure cloud solutions (certification an asset);
  • Experience in the management of cloud operations in public or private mode;
  • Excellent knowledge of Windows and Linux OS;
  • Excellent knowledge of networking (Cisco CCNA certification an asset);
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, MSSQL, SCCM;
  • Knowledge of VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies;
  • Knowledge NetApp and Dell EMC SAN and server storage technologies an asset;
  • Knowledge of Veeam, NetBackup and Commvault backup technologies an asset;
  • Experience with Nagios and Splunk monitoring tools;
  • Knowledge of IT, ITIL and COBIT governance models an asset;
  • Ability to evolve in a 24/7 environment;
  • Marked concern for customer service;
  • Excellent ability to diagnose various issues effectively;
  • Ability to adapt to changes;

Senior Account Executive

Job Description


The Senior Account Executive is responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through closing for new and existing clients. The tasks will include prospecting and mining assigned leads, expanding business with existing customers, demonstrating a mastery of selling the portfolio of ESI solutions and services, articulating business value to prospects and customers by applying extensive knowledge of competitive landscape and the broad collaboration market, continuously raising expectations of achievement potential for the entire sales team, managing accurate forecasts, and builds C-level relationships in customer organizations.


Main Responsibilities


  • Attain quarterly and annual sales goals;
  • Evaluate and map assigned territory, plan and execute aggressive out-bound sales strategy, including targeted verticals and named accounts;
  • Collaborative work with co-workers, management and partners;
  • Build relationships with the existing account base and network internally within accounts;
  • Develop an understanding of customer needs and grow revenue from existing installed based clients;
  • Perform ongoing account reviews, and identify opportunities for cross selling additional products and adding licenses of existing product(s);
  • Follow up on sales leads, qualify prospects, demonstrate the technology, and create and deliver tailored or existing presentations;
  • Develop competency for C-level presentations including ROI analysis;
  • Negotiate and close standard sales engagements, developing competencies for closing more complex deals over time;
  • Maintain accurate sales and opportunity data in a timely manner for all sales engagements in the CRM;
  • Provide weekly forecasts to sales management regarding monthly, quarterly and annual progress of the assigned pipeline;
  • Present quarterly business reviews to peers and/or sales management;
  • Pursue contract renegotiations and renewals with existing customers;
  • Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed;
  • Perform studies and produce reports demonstrating the advantages of the technological solutions proposed by ESI (be they in the form of executive summaries or other, more comprehensive documents);
  • Promotes ESI among potential clients and partners.

  • Understanding and ability to describe at high level the following solutions: SAN, NAS, HA environments, clustered technologies, business continuity, disaster recovery, etc.;
  • Understanding and ability to articulate the benefits of virtualization and present the differentiators from virtualization vendors such as VMware, Citrix, Microsoft, and RedHat;
  • Ability to discuss the benefits of operations management such as (SCOM) from Microsoft.
